Hello Diary Readers! Today we're discussing a beautiful Chestnut Ridge home on a 30x30 lot in Riders Glen, that's become the focus of a lot of attention from the Ridge's residents, or at least it was when I was on vacation there earlier in the year.
I'll also be including some pictures of the said gorgeous home throughout the post, so stay tuned for those as well as my witty commentary 😉 And with that, let's jump right in!
Located in the upper section of Riders Glen was a very old house called Canter Cottage and it was only worth 22,000 and some odd simleons, which in this economy you know isn't good, and it was pretty small, with two bedrooms and only one shared bathroom. The only perks was the outdoor space for the horses.
I don't know about you but I'm not a horse and I don't want to spend my entire day outside like one because there's nothing inside to do! Due to my fair complexion I burn easily and I don't appreciate being outdoors often during daylight hours.
Getting back to the point at hand though, when they announced to the town at the local bar that the house was being torn down and a new more spacious one built, I eagerly awaited for more details from my spies, after all, I loved gossip but I love home renovations or rather demolitions just as much.
Eventually they came back and said that the house was planned to be about 45,000 simleons, and complete with two stories, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, AND a laundry space!
Now that sounded nice enough I almost went to check on the building process myself during the day, not that it would've done me any good Nathan Bennett runs a tight ship and I wouldn't have seen much.
Key word in that sentence is almost. 😂😂😂
Nice house or no there's one thing this gossiper can't stand and that's itchy sun burned skin. UGH it's the absolute worst. So I didn't go and look at the progress but luckily for me it didn't take long before the photos of the finished product were online.
I love the way this move in ready house looks on the outside, the stone work, and siding is just chefs kiss, and you know how I feel about a good landscaping. The kitchen and laundry is sparsely decorated, (I mean it is move in ready after all) but I love the look of it. And best of all it came in under budget at 41,000 and some odd simleons.
Which is really a steal.
There's something about like the laundry room that makes me actually want to do laundry a bit. Is that just me?
Besides the point, this three bedroom and two bathroom house has spacious bedrooms so if you have more than two kids, or you also have grandparents living with you, then sharing bedrooms for the kids is definitely an option.
The house is done in cool wood tones, yellow, and some blues/greenish colors on the inside but you could easily change that depending on your color scheme.
All in all I would say that the new Canter Cottage location is GREATLY improved, but maybe I'm a bit biased, I do love red farmhouses 😉😉
Let me know your thoughts in the comments and I'll gossip with you next week! 👋☕
