To start with I should probably mention I have at least one article that I need to write after this one, about this family to explain a few things in more detail, but for now we are going to be discussing what some might call the second generation of this lovely family over in San Sequoia (why does it seem like the best gossip comes from suburban towns?)
Meet Cherry (middle name is rumored to be Valentine due to her birthday) Swift! She's currently a few days into her first year of high school, although I've watched her grow through Vlogs here.
She's adorable, however as with most teenagers, she has a rebellious streak. Hers is (or at least was) a more mild case, mostly just sneaking out for a few hours with friends, and staying up long past a reasonable bedtime. Then prom came, and with it, drama.
Now here is the point where I need to mention her mother, Lavender Swift. Yes you heard me right, the level 10 entertainer and famous musician. She was quite the party girl before she had Cherry, and as a result had a lot of exes before she eventually settled down in her adult years.
That being said, one of her exes was Mr. Baako Jang (Remember this name) of San Myshuno, and he was actually the first of her boyfriends and he still tries to reach out occasionally despite her having ended it decades ago (for Cherry's father she also left)
Back to Cherry, she's just now dating her first boyfriend, although she has had plenty of crushes (and still does, the girl crushes on a lot of people) she found one older boy in particular very very attractive, probably because at first when she arrived to school he was frankly rude and always mad or tense and we always love a bad boy vibe.
However after meeting him she instantly crushed on him and they've been close ever since and he even asked her to prom as a friend. So she agreed and they went to the pre party together, prom together, and eventually the post prom party with each other.
He won Jester at Prom, and everyone was crowding him so Cherry, being younger and a bit shy headed off to look at the river from behind the Ferris wheel. She hadn't been there long when her date caught up to her, and started chatting with her. Although he quickly caught on to the fact that she was desperately nervous.
And that was because she wanted to reveal her crush, and with some prompting, she did! Luckily for her he felt the same and revealed he also had a crush.
Cherry was relieved and excited to say the least and then after that they had a discussion about if they should try dating, they decided on being boyfriend/girlfriend btw, and then they shared their first kiss. All very cute.
She was so excited she couldn't wait to tell her best friend, Dani, that she was dating the Bill Jang! After all he was one of the most popular guys at school especially since he was from San Myshuno.
I'll give you a moment to let that sentence set in...

If you haven't figured it out yet yes. Bill Jang is indeed Baako Jang's son. And yes, Baako and Lavender dated. So now comes the big problem.
Cherry has to tell Lavender because she's already told her everything other than the names, and Lavender even met Bill briefly the night of prom, not formally with last names of course, so she's not too far behind in finding out. And when she does she's not going to be happy.
For one, Lavender wanted Cherry to wait to date until she was a bit older, after all she didn't find the love of her life until she was an adult so Cherry has plenty of time in her eyes.
The next thing is Lavender definitely does not want Cherry to date her exes son. Especially not Baako, considering he's lowkey stalked her for years, still calls her, and it would be incredibly awkward for them if Cherry and Bill stayed together because Lavender met Baako's wife and told her of their affair when they broke up because she thought she deserved to know.
Which now would be incredibly awkward because obviously after the affair Baako stayed with his wife but he still contacts Lavender so... it's weird to say the least.
But Cherry doesn't want to hear all of this above said logic and reasons! She's a teen and she's in love for the first time. She wants to be with Bill and she wants Lavender to want that. And obviously that's not going to work. So she's just hiding it from her at the moment.
But very soon that's going to no longer work. And I'm going to be very happy when that happens so I can report back to you guys!
